For Google’s first in-person event globally since the start of 2020, we were tasked with producing multiple activations for YouTube as the headline sponsor at Vidcon, Abu Dhabi.

To introduce the YouTube Shorts platform to the region, we designed and produced a 1950s-style diner, celebrating the American home of YouTube with clever design details that gave a nod to local culture. With creators popping up to serve ice cream throughout the weekend and plenty of swag giveaways, the diner was a must-visit destination for all VidCon attendees.

The Featured Creators’ Lounge is a staple at any VidCon event and we wanted to ensure this was more than just a place for creators to unwind and network. By onboarding local partners to offer a glam station, sneaker cleaning, and the best-loved dessert brands in the UAE, we created an inviting and fun space that has since formed a blueprint for future VidCon Lounges.

As the headline sponsor, YouTube had to throw a showstopper party to round off the weekend and we hosted 300+ creators at Saadiyat Beach Club to dance the night away.

Keen to celebrate local culture and provide a unique experience for guests from abroad, we organised activities such as an interactive drum circle and henna, along with flower crowns and face painting to embody our ‘Chill-chella’ theme.
